Former Congressmen Hill Joins mCapitol Management
Hill Named Senior Advisor; Chief of Staff Named Vice President

WASHINGTON, D.C., February 9, 2005 - mCapitol Management today announced the hiring of former Congressman Baron P. Hill as Senior Advisor to the firm and former Chief of Staff Ryan C. Guthrie as Vice President of the firm effective immediately.

Former Congressman Baron P. Hill served three terms in the United States Congress. He also served in leadership as Chief Deputy Whip. Hill was selected by his colleagues as Communications Co-Chair of the Blue Dog Coalition, a group of moderate-to-conservative Democrats who strongly advocate fiscal discipline. He was elected to the Indiana House of Representatives where he served for eight years, ran unsuccessfully for the Untied States Senate in 1992, and also served then-Governor Evan Bayh as the Executive Director of the State Student Assistance Commission. Congressman Hill has also run his own insurance and real estate business and worked as a financial analyst for Merrill Lynch. He still holds the Indiana State record for the 100-yard dash and was inducted along with basketball legend Larry Bird in the 2000 class of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame. Baron and his wife of 30 years have three daughters.

Ryan C. Guthrie has served his entire professional career working with Congressman Hill, most recently as Chief of Staff where his duties included strategic planning, overseeing the legislative process, managing 18 full-time employees and a budget of over $1 million. Guthrie also served as Finance Director and later Campaign Manager for Congressman Hill's successful three term elections raising nearly $2 million in PAC and individual contributions, coordinating campaign staff and paid consultants. Guthrie graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Secondary Education and holds a
Masters of Business Administration from the University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business with concentrations in Finance and Marketing.
