Christine N. Heggem
Vice President
Christine N. Heggem joins mCapitol Management as Vice President, bringing many years of Capitol Hill experience and extensive knowledge in appropriations, budget and legislative procedures.
Prior to joining mCapitol, Ms. Heggem served as a professional staff member on the United States Senate Committee on Appropriations. As a member of the Committee’s professional staff on the Interior Subcommittee and later on the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Subcommittee, she oversaw up to $80 billion annually in federal agency budgets.
Previously, Ms. Heggem served for six years as a Legislative Assistant to United States Senator Conrad Burns (R-MT), specializing in energy and resources. In this position, she focused on natural resource and energy policies, assisting in the development of three comprehensive energy bills. As the primary staffer for Montana energy and water issues, her achievements included bringing clean water to Montana families and working with ranchers and conservation groups to preserve working agricultural landscapes.
In addition, Ms. Heggem served as a United States representative to Bulgaria during an international youth exchange.
A native of Winifred, Montana, Ms. Heggem holds a Master of Science in Applied Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Business from Montana State University. She currently serves as the Treasurer for the Montana State Society in Washington, D.C.
