Jane Prosch-Jensen
State and Local Affairs Consultant

Jane Prosch-Jensen joins mCapitol Management as a State and Local Affairs Consultant, bringing 17 years of experience managing corporate-government affairs at the state and local levels of government.

In addition to her role with mCapitol Management, Ms. Prosch-Jensen is President of The JPJ Group, LLC, a Minneapolis based consulting firm. The focus of the firm is to promote client development in governmental affairs at the state and
local levels. Prior to consulting on behalf of The JPJ Group, Ms. Prosch-Jensen held positions in Local and State Government Affairs in the 3M Traffic Safety Systems Division for over 15 years. During this time, she focused on the development of government affairs policy and state and local government projects. Ms. Prosch-Jensen also worked to develop government funding and grant programs in the transportation safety industry on behalf of 3M.

Ms. Prosch-Jensen’s experience in the public sector included service in the Minnesota Department of Trade and Economic Development, specifically in the Office of Science and Technology. She was responsible for the development and coordination
of the International Technical Innovation and Entrepreneurship Symposium, held in Minneapolis, and attended by international leaders in government and industry.

Nationally, Ms. Prosch-Jensen has been an active partner with various local and state government associations, as well as industry groups. The most recent position Ms. Prosch-Jensen held was as Co-chair of the National League of Cities Corporate Partners Leadership Council. She has also served as the Co-chair of the United States Conference of Mayors Business Council. Her other board positions have been on the Minnesota Transportation Alliance and the Minnesota Chapter of the Women’s Transportation Seminar. She has recently been appointed to be the Minnesota representative for the National Association of Women Highway Safety Leaders.

Ms. Prosch-Jensen excels in foreign language, which provides her with the skills for cross-cultural communication and strong relations in international government affairs. As a student at the University of Washington, where she received a BA in French, Ms. Prosch-Jensen also studied abroad at the Faculte des Lettres in Avignon, France.
